Roger worked as an architect in London from 1973 to 1999, producing cartoons in his spare time.
In 1999 he became a full-time freelance cartoonist.
He has been published worldwide with collections of his cartoons published in the UK, USA and China.
He has had one-man exhibitions in the UK, Turkey, Poland and the Czech Republic.
He has been a judge in international cartoon competitions and won prizes in many cartoon contests.
In the UK his work has appeared in books, on calendars, greetings cards, in assorted magazines and promotional material.
He has been the international president of the Federation of Cartoonists Organisations (FECO), was one of the founders of the Professional Cartoonists Organisation in the UK and is a member of the British Cartoonists Association and the Cartoonists Club of Great Britain.
He has been elected a Fellow of the RSA (The Royal Society of Arts and Manufactures).
He is the originator of the Shrewsbury International Cartoon Festival, was chairman of the festival from 2004-2014 and a member of the organising committee since then.
He main interests outside cartooning are playing the acoustic guitar and singing.
